Report to the Hospital's Admissions Department at 7:00
AM. After you are admitted, you will be taken to Day Hospital. You
will have an IV started there. You will wait there for your scheduled
procedure.
2.
You may eat a light breakfast before 6 AM. It is
important that you have an empty stomach for the procedure. If any type
of sedative is to be used, you are less likely to become nauseated if you have
an empty stomach. Do not eat or drink anything after 6 AM.
3.
Your fluoroscopy time is scheduled in advance and we try
our best to keep that time. Unfortunately the Emergency Department uses
this department frequently and they have priority over us. Occasionally
this will cause delays in the schedule and we apologize in advance for this
inconvenience.
4.
Please have your nail polish removed and please wear
minimal jewelry, no necklaces please. This is for your protection.
5.
If you have any questions, please direct them to your
doctor or nurse.
